While my general programming experience starts much farther back, for the past 5 years I have been focusing on mastering the modern frontend technology frameworks - primarily React with Next.js, and Vue. I have recent and in-depth professional experience building complex web apps with both and consider myself equally proficient in them.Of course, I have very strong foundational skills with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Especially with JS: during my time with LifeWallet, those skills have been put to the test in handling the unique and complex challenges that arise when working in the Healthcare tech space and dealing with large data structures: caching, cleaning, transforming & displaying massive amounts of varied data in a clean, intuitive layout. I'm not your baseline "make it pretty" front end developer -- I am confident that I can competently handle any data-centric obstacles that may arise, and even shift a significant computing load off the backend system and on to the client if necessary (though, admittedly, that is usually against the grain of the modern web app philosophy).This past year, I have also successfully built full-stack microservices for a client utilizing Node.js for the backend and React for the front, with a PostgreSQL database and AWS cloud storage.Regarding supportive tools, I am experienced and familiar with Agile development methodologies, involving CI/CD, deployment pipelines, sprints, tickets, accountability and code auditing. I'm organized and comfortable when it comes to Git, GitHub, BitBucket, Jira and the rest of the Atlassian suite. I have experience with AWS: S3, EC2, Lambda Functions, API Gateway, CodeDeploy etc., as well as Docker containerization, Asynchronous code with Suspense states, and more.Elegance and performance in User Experience (UI/UX) and Design are also passions of mine: I strive to think of the end user in every graphic interface detail and line of code I write. I ask myself such questions as: "is this the most intuitive way to accomplish and present this for the average end user?", "will this help cut down on loading times and keep the user engaged and informed while the client is fetching the next view?", etc.I strongly believe that true, attentive-to-detail design + development with the user in mind can establish a sense of trust and positive interaction with a brand, and it is vitally important.That is what I want my work to stand for.
