Key achievements:Built the practice from scratch, and turned it into a highly successful private practice employing 65 staff. Over a four-year period, the practice was noted as being in the top 100 practices in China. Having sold the business in 2016, I have retained an interest in the Asia Pacific Market, through consultancy and co-operation agreements.While running the company, we undertook a large number high-profile projects in the leisure, residential - high-rise, award winning cultural planning, commercial and regeneration sectors. Projects ranged from 50,000m2 to master plans of 1.2million m2 and urban plans of 38km2

Setup and ran Joint Venture Architects Company. Forming the first JV of its type in South West China.As the Design Lead and Managing Director, this was a very much hands on role, taking the company into profit in its first year. Became a Consultant and Expert to a number of Chinese Local Government offices.Receiving a number of awards for cultural and ancient town regeneration, urban rural and tourism masterplanning projects.

Residential Design Manager, Built up the residential sector within the practice from 7% to 47% in 12 months. Management of department, staff. Client Liaison, client lead generation and conversion.

Management of Design Office, Technical managers, liaison with Land, sales, marketing, purchasing depts. Reporting to the area board and head office board. Include land appraisals and acquisition, site finding, residential layouts, master planning, controlling outsourced design, engineering, survey companies. Budgeting, cost control, planning and development, SPG guidance, input with local authorities.
