Executive director of an upstream oil and gas business that was wholly owned by a financial institution. Setanta LLC, as a non-operating working interest owner, discovered and developed gas fields in North America. The development comprised the drilling & completion of 10 production wells, construction of a gas gathering system along with its processing facility and interstate pipeline connection. The project entered commercial production in 2016 and was divested in 2018.

As an Executive Board member of KBC Finance Ireland, I led the global energy and renewable business providing structured finance solutions across the whole value chain from production to logistics, industrial processing and distribution. Activities included portfolio management, trading, lending and advisory services. Having developed a highly profitable business external factors forced a strategic change following which we sold off the unit in a series of asset sales.

During 8 years at Credit Lyonnais I held various roles within Specialised Industries (incl. Real Estate, Transport, Natural Resources and Energy). Between 1997 and 2000 I was based in Paris and worked as assistant to the Global Head of Structured Risk. We developed cutting edge rating and portfolio management techniques that were applied to the global portfolio and improved efficiency.
