In this role I initially learned the core of the business starting in the Main Office learning the day to day operations and assisting the Memorial Specialists. I then took on more roles within the organization taking lead on the interworking's of the business with Funeral Directors and other affiliates. I quickly moved into a Memorial Specialist role and learned in depth about Granite, the differences between the grains, styles, sourcing and more nuances of the business.

I reviewed, adjusted/ corrected rates, the amount of days and whether a unit was a substitute or an extra unit billing for our Lease Customers. I tracked and followed up on each unit in our Damage/ Salvage process to ensure the customer was notified in a timely manner, the correct internal processes were followed and approval was granted from the customer or their insurance company. If the unit was deemed a total loss I would follow up with the claims representative on all paperwork and sale of the unit. I also called on our accounts receivables for our Rental Department totaling over four hundred and thirty local accounts weekly. I also compiled a weekly list of all rental units due for preventative maintenance. Included in this were the shops on time percentage as well as the overall completion percentages from the ten different branches reaching from Buffalo, NY to Sandusky, OH. Lastly I would research our suspended fuel tickets from our different fueling locations to find the correct customer to bill and how much they were to be rebilled per gallon.

I would purchase parts for our units ranging from International, Freightliner, Volvo, Mercedes Benz, Kenworth, Mack and Peterbilt. I also ordered the Service Departments general supplies (nuts, bolts, clamps, relays, towels etc.). I managed the branches local inventory nearly one hundred thousand dollars worth of parts, conducting audits on multiple sections each week to insure correct inventory levels, I also handled all accounts payables for the Service department including our Penske Electronic Matching (PEMS) payment system. I was tasked with matching payments to the correct purchase orders or outside repair orders as they would become suspended in our system

My tasks were to develop the Rental Management Trainees and help them reach weekly tasks or quota through coaching and leading by example. I was also responsible to ensure the management trainees were utilizing our relocation specialist to their fullest and ensuring our customers needs were being met (truck received on time, clean, full of fuel).
