I learned a great deal about how to lead in a civilian business environment in this role, focusing primarily on leader development, lean implementation, operational efficiency, and employee engagement. I also became proficient in mining data, presenting it clearly as information, and using it to drive decisions that resulted in improved KPIs across all TPM pillars. Many aspects of the department quickly became best-in-class across the network and I am incredibly proud of the stark improvement journey that took place in such a short amount of time.
