Keith W. McIntosh is the Vice President (VP) for Information Services and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at the University of Richmond. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic development of the university’s Information Services organization. He works with university leadership to ensure that the university’s information technology investments remain ambitious, aligned with the institution’s strategic objectives, and committed to advancing its educational mission.

Reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the AVP/CIO provides vision, leadership, oversight, and management of the College’s academic and administrative information technology services, facilities, hardware, software, and staff. Develops a comprehensive, strategic vision for ITS that aligns with and enhances Ithaca College’s mission. Provides information technlogy service and support for an undergraduate enrollment of about 6,300 students, 493 full-time faculty, 246 part-time faculty and 1074 administrative and staff employees. Direct Reports: 5 Indirect Reports: 69Supervises the Director of Enterprise Application Services, the Director of Infrastructure and Communication Services, and the Director of Technology and Instructional Services. Also supervises the College’s Information Security Officer and the Manager of the IT Project Management Office, and oversees the ITS operating budget of about $11 million and a staff of 74. Provides expert consultation on IT services, hardware and software to the President, the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Provost (and sits on the Provost’s Council), other members of the administration and members of the faculty, and Trustees through the Board’s Facilities Committee. Serves as a leader on key campus committees.

Serves as the Chief Information Officer for the College, one of the ten largest multi-campus, multi-site Community Colleges in the United States, and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Chancellor. Leads multiple offices supporting more than 1,400 regular employees, approximately 1,750 adjunct faculty, 750 part-time personnel and more than 70,000 Students (credit and non-credit) annually. Provides vision, leadership, and direction for the administration, coordination, and management of the College's computer services and telecommunications support services functions and operations. Plans, directs, reviews, and evaluates College-wide information systems including systems designs, development and support, data access and retrieval for automated systems, database administration, user consultation and support, and College networks. Coordinates assigned activities with College campuses, other central offices, and external agencies. Negotiates solutions to major conceptual issues involving policy and direction changes with administrators, faculty, staff, and outside agencies including regulatory representatives. Affects the administration and management of College computer services and telecommunications support systems including the development, recommendation, and implementation of short- and long-range goals, objectives, outcomes, policies, and procedures.

Serves as Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO). Managed a $6.2M (Operating) and $2.2M (Capital) budget. Lead three departments (Client Services, Development Services, and Technical Services) supporting 380 Faculty, 950 Staff, & 69,000 Students (annually). Direct Reports: 3 Indirect Reports: 26. Assumed a leadership role in providing project management for oversight to coordinate the many IT project timelines with campus schedules to keep disruptions at a minimum and support the delivery of instruction. Developed strategies for carrying out the vision in accordance with the College mission statement and strategic plan. Develop and implement policies and procedures for information technology (IT) operations.
