I am an analytics executive with almost two decades of experience building analytics organizations and leveraging data science and business intelligence to increase profits, deliver innovation, and reduce costs. I have had the privilege of building four world class analytics organizations from the ground up and leading them to deliver multi-million-dollar initiatives and improvements. These departments have helped the business utilize facts, data, and advanced analytics to make and improve decisions and create competitive advantage. My departments and I worked across the entire enterprise to identify and deliver a broad range of analytics projects, including predictive and descriptive modeling, optimization, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI), business intelligence (BI), and business insights. I have also had the opportunity to develop and lead Analytics Communities of Practice to help grow organizational analytics capabilities and provide opportunities for training, education, and sharing across a multi-country enterprise. In fewer than eight years at Credit First National Association (CFNA), my department helped executive leadership make and improve various lending decisions which resulted in annual operating profit to increase from around $30M to over $110M. In under two years, the new analytics department at Bridgestone Retail Operations identified almost $200M in incremental operating profit opportunities by capitalizing on data and analytics. In under three years leading the Analytics Center of Excellence (COE) for Bridgestone Americas, my department and I delivered over $50M in profit improvement through inventory management, labor savings, and manufacturing plant optimization.
