Responsible for the information and communication technology department for VTCT, including the management of a team of seven, and the modernisation of all ICT resources including the central CRM system, the Private Cloud Infrastructure and the VoIP telephony system. Acting as Information Security Officer with direct responsibility for gaining and maintaining ISO27001 certification and Cyber Essentials Plus.Duties:• Implemented an ISO 27001 certificated Information Security Management System, including creation of all information security policies and procedures, Statement of Applicability and Risk Treatment Plan• Introduced a culture of security-awareness into the company• Successfully retained Cyber Essentials Plus certification in August 2020, and passed the ISO27001 surveillance audit in Dec 2020• Implemented multiple new systems including:o a VoIP telephony solution, replacing ISDN lines and saving £500 per month in telephony costso a system monitoring solution using CheckMK to monitor all critical and non-critical serviceso asset management using LanSweeper for hardware resource and software licensing reports• Managed the modernisation of the company CRM system, upgrading from Microsoft Dynamics 2011 to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (both on-premises)• Management and forecasting of a c£1 million annual ICT budget• Developed and implemented a change request system in line with company strategic objectives• Managed a strategic project for harmonising all VTCT and ITEC business processes and systems

During my tenure with Arrow Global (Capquest Debt Recovery) I have done pretty much everything from defining the initial IT strategy that enabled the company to grow from two small offices and less than 100 employees to four offices (one international) and over 450 employees, to being directly responsible for the migration, cleansing and remediation of the data from the old (non-relational) collections platform into the new SQL Server, web-based collections application.I have carried out IT strategy planning, project management, application development, support, supplier management, budget management, purchasing, new site implementations and a site-relocation.I have carried out training in various managerial areas, including Employment Law, Leading Change, Managing for High Performance and Project Management, as well as being up-to-date with the regulatory training required for a financial services company.My technical skills include both SQL Server and Oracle, as well as Windows and Linux/Unix, various languages including Classic ASP, JavaScript, CSS and ASP.Net.I believe I am a highly qualified all-rounder, able to take on any challenge and operate at a senior role, especially where that role requires a solid technical background.

Initially recruited as the Oracle Database Administrator, taking over UNIX administration duties, then Application Development Management and finally Head of IT in 2002.
