Oversaw technical delivery of both enhancements and discretionary project work, and responsible for resource management to meet demands for new development, maintenance, and break/fix. Ensured application service availability to customers. Provided technology solutions development and integration across the entire system development lifecycle including requirements, functional specifications, design, market scans/selection, custom development, integration, testing, and development. Responsible for leading the IT development staff in the selection of a new multi-million-dollar distributed application replacing a 25+ year old mainframe application. Represented the IT organization reviewing vendors RFP responses, evaluating vendors, and selecting a vendor for the replacement. Once a vendor was selected, I was responsible for working directly with the vendor to initiate the project, execute the project, and rollout across the state. Worked with the selected vendor in project planning, to involve IT staff where appropriate in requirement validation and design sessions. Worked with the vendor in all aspects of project execution, removing obstacles, roadblocks, and barriers.
