KEITH O’MALLEY has built a loyal customer base by doing pavement jobs right the first time, handling any fears or doubts, and resolving any issues that may arise during the course of a project. In representing M & J ASPHALT PAVING COMPANY, considered the industry leader in commercial ground maintenance services in the Greater Chicagoland area, he is doing what he enjoys—that is, solving pavement problems and improving businesses. His positive energy, conscientious follow-up, and ability to deliver on a promise have enabled him to sustain long-term professional relationships and consistently exceed customer expectations. While in school, Keith developed a strong interest in construction while working as a concrete finisher. He also entertained notions of becoming a golf professional. . He earned his Class “A” PGA status, working in multiple areas of the golf industry before returning to the construction business and merging his two passions. He acquired new skills that enabled him to leverage the knowledge of landscaping that he gained from golf to best assess customer’s needs. In 2014, he joined M & J, gaining access to the most comprehensive suite of asphalt and paving services in the industry. Having spent significant time in the construction environment, Keith brings a unique perspective to each work site. He knows the associated risks and understands that the business of pavement repair, resurfacing, and maintenance is not a perfect science. His thoroughness, focus on quality, and understanding of budgets have helped him successfully complete projects of all sizes and create sustainable value for commercial and industrial facility managers. Whereas he is no longer PGA-credentialed, Keith continues to give lessons and is always willing to talk golf. He remains active in association golf events and is always willing to engage others in conversation about their short game.
