For most of my life I've been passionate about the outdoors. I've been fortunate to make a living studying and working in the fields of environmental science and resource conservation! I keep up on technology and have significant experience in permitting, environmental regulations, laws, and policies. I've had many years of experience in various aspects of construction, forestry, agriculture, etc. I enjoy working in the office or remotely and am proficient in word, excel, access, outlook, PowerPoint, Blubeam revu, GIS, etc. I've worked extensively with the public in many capacities from providing technical guidance and helping people through the permit application/review process to inspections and obtaining regulatory compliance in complaint and enforcement actions. I'm adept at work in the field, operating various vehicles, machines, and navigating rural areas. In my free time I enjoy a variety of outdoor hobbies that compliment my professional life such as hiking, biking, kayaking, farming/gardening, etc. Being passionate about the outdoors and preserving them my interest is apparent when doing educational outreach. I have organized events and presented professionally on Erosion and Sediment Control, Waterway and Wetland Encroachments, and other pertinent topics a number of times to the public and regulated community.I have an associates in Criminal Justice which prepared me for reading and interpreting laws and legal documentation. My knowledge of specific PA environmental regulations has resulted in being consulted by attorneys in this area on several occasions. My BS in Environmental Studies provided me a solid foundation for my growing knowledge of environmental chemistry, biology, botany, entomology, statistics, GIS, and many other skills I found applicable professionally. I have since continued to build on them taking many available trainings in Wetland Identification, Fluvial Geomorphology, and many more specific trainings pertaining to my work as a Resource Conservationist.
