Hawai'i Farmers Union United (HFUU) is a state level chapter of the National Farmers Union (NFU) with 13 sub-chapters across the 4 major islands of Hawai'i. As communications director I have taken on the integration of NeonCRM (customer relations management) with an updated website that scales to our constituents technology and furthers the cause of sustainable local food production, purity and availability. HFUU supports the diversified family farmer. It's membership represents farmers, gardeners, foodies and anyone who values regenerative farming techniques and the nutritious food it yields.

Management of the Maui Film Festival volunteers is a seasonal role I began in 2001. The 5 day festival engages 200-300 volunteers serving as the "coconut oil" that keeps everything running smoothly. The experience led to the creation of the Art of Volunteering community database and volunteer management consulting service.

Identified strategic alliances and sold advertising space.Expanded zentomag.com travel pages and created archivesACTIVITY EXPLORER, INC., A privately held Washington C-Corp., doing business in Hawaii. Created a business model and web interface prototype targeting worldwide vacation tours and activities.

Named startup company Netstock Direct, later Sharebuilder. Created the web presence that attracted a user base of 10,000 members in 1998. Directed and managed NAIC tradeshow presence. Presented service to SEC in Washington, DC. Worked in Microsoft developer lab to create and launch Internet Explorer 3.0 enhanced netstockdirect.com website in 1997. Managed database and web design teams. Managed how the company presented itself to individual investors and Fortune 500 company clients.-Integral member of product development team.-Created business plans that raised $2.6 million.-Managed design and implementation of online Direct Investment Wizard.

Image Grafx brought the first Avid Media Composer digital non-linear editing system to the Southern Oregon region in 1992. The production agency specialized in video, 2D & 3D animation and desktop publishing.

Omega House was a 15 bed residential care home that catered to a broad age-range of low income residents that required supervision due to psychiatric conditions or age related mental decline. Besides being "chief cook and bottle washer" I fixed things, cleaned, did laundry, bought the groceries (sometimes 8 shopping carts at a time) and provided consistency. Established in Tucson in 1981, the home is still operating as Aumega House.
