Crowley Correctional Facility I was a certified corrections officer. Our main goal was to make sure that the public was safe. Responsible for securing unit doors, searching unit and room for contraband. Securing perimeter of the prison. Securing chow hall, and medical services. Securing prisoners during medical visits outside the prison, responding to emergencies in units and many other responsibilities.

Provided leadership, managment and strategic direction to the Student Services Division,(12 direct reports and 76 staff), at Pueblo Community College. In my first year, I led a restructure of the division, a decrease in the college’s default rate, and successfully managed a Department of Education audit. I lead the division in implementing improvements to the delivery of student services by preparing to host the Educational Advisory Board’s Navigate software approved by the system office in Denver. Managed 3 million in operational and salary budgets.
