As Executive Director for OVRC, I have a passionate enthusiasm for the work I do. My goal each day is to ensure that every client utilizes OVRC services to aid them in their search for meaningful employment. My vision is to provide clients with the resources, tools and services they need to target their job search and find the position that is a “good fit”. I am a strong proponent of providing the opportunity for clients to become self-sufficient in their job search so they are empowered and confident in their ability to navigate an ever-changing labour market. Prior to becoming the Executive Director in 2011, my professional background includes working as an employment facilitator, computer instructor, radio announcer, parts and service manager for a farm machinery dealership, and as a retail manager—all of which have helped me to understand and assist clients in their job search journey. I am always looking at how OVRC can better serve clients. Part of this includes providing workshops that help clients target their job search, which increases their chances of success. I am proud of the dedication and expertise that my team at OVRC provides clients and their recognition by clients who often refer others in need to visit OVRC. It is with gratitude that I serve a staff that demonstrates compassion, caring and commitment to each of our clients everyday.
