More specifically, I advise CEOs, CFOs, executives, entrepreneurs and other clients on a wide variety of financial and strategic matters, including asset allocation, public and private investments and tax and estate strategy. I also manage money on their behalf, sourcing and researching public equity and fixed income investments. For my firm, I solve a range of operational and strategic business challenges that ultimately help grow revenue and profits.My ability to excel in such a diverse range of roles and situations comes from my intellect, curiosity and drive. Something of a modern-day renaissance man, I complement extensive formal education and experience in business, finance and economics with broad, self-taught knowledge across a variety of other disciplines. My proficiency ranges from hard sciences such as physics to soft sciences such as psychology to social sciences such as anthropology. I am a polished communicator, capable of enhancing the power and efficacy of my ideas in writing, verbally when speaking or presenting and even graphically.My approach is uniquely multidisciplinary, drawing on mental models from seemingly unrelated fields of study and bringing together the very best to deliver innovative and effective solutions unavailable from others. Building wealth, for example, is as much psychological and social as it is financial and you must draw on all three disciplines to do it well. I identify and extract structure from complexity and then build processes to deliver order and results from out of the chaos. Numbers and data are my judge, a disciplined guide on the path to overcoming seemingly intractable challenges.Away from my craft, I am a dedicated husband to my beautiful wife and father to three incredible kids. My focus is to be everything that I am capable of becoming, both physically and mentally, while simultaneously becoming capable of more. I seek and embrace discomfort, again both physical and mental, toward this end. Fitness is important to me. I am a regular Peloton rider and leverage my body weight to build functional strength. My present intellectual interest is the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, religion, mythology, anthropology and evolution and their influence on each other.A big part of what I do is connecting people – to other people and to knowledge that they need.
