He has held the post of Vice Chairman of the Authorising Engineers Group and currently is a Group representative at BSI Standards meetings. Keith Shuttleworth was a member of the Parenteral Society (now The Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Sciences Society) Working Group preparing a new monograph for the Validation of Steam Sterilizers and currently chairs the Sterilization Special Interest Group which is producing a Monograph on Clean in Place/Sterilize in Place. In addition, he is also an active member of the US based Parenteral Drug Association and was a contributor to the new PDA Technical Report Monograph No 1 – Validation of Moist Heat Sterilization Processes : 2007.
