The main activities of Keith Shuttleworth & Associates are:Supply of steam quality test equipment for both physical steam quality testing and chemical/microbiological testing of clean steam and WFI.Specialist advice and support on the design installation and testing of clean steam systems and the provision of training on steam quality testing. The provision of third party steam quality testing.Provision of independent advice, training and auditing relating to all aspects of steam sterilization equipment and processes. Includes troubleshooting, regulatory guidance and the provision of bespoke training workshops.Keith Shuttleworth's breadth of experience has been gained as an Engineer in the UK’s National Health Service and Pharmaceutical industries, and as a provider of maintenance, testing and upgrade services, both as a third party supplier and working in a senior position for a sterilizer manufacturer.While the bulk of the companies work is in the Pharmaceutical industry, Keith Shuttleworth is an Authorising Engineer (Decontamination) and provides a service for a number of NHS and private health care organisations. He has held the post of Vice Chairman of the Authorising Engineers Group and currently is a Group representative at BSI Standards meetings. Keith Shuttleworth was a member of the Parenteral Society (now The Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Sciences Society) Working Group preparing a new monograph for the Validation of Steam Sterilizers and currently chairs the Sterilization Special Interest Group which is producing a Monograph on Clean in Place/Sterilize in Place. In addition, he is also an active member of the US based Parenteral Drug Association and was a contributor to the new PDA Technical Report Monograph No 1 – Validation of Moist Heat Sterilization Processes : 2007.
