I lead the ConRes Software Defined Networks (SDN) practice, managing the breadth of technology solutions and leading the engineering team in my practice area. • Led the design of the new networking standards and security policies by working with cutting-edge mainstream technology such as Cisco SDN (Nexus 9000 series) & Amazon VPC.• Head-steering the development of iWAN solution for network routing optimization and security enhancement in the core. • Acted as a SME to all Nexus Series (N2K/N5K/N7K) platforms in regards to any Data Center migration and projects. Provided training and guidance to any DC related technology, VPC, FCoE, OTV, Nexus 1000v, Fabricpath (VXLAN).• Designed & Deployed PoC Cisco UCS servers implementation for the backup Data Center fail-over purpose.• Initiated total energy cost savings project requested by CIO in all Data Centers by implementing & testing Cisco's Energywise Management tool as a possible solution and presented it to the board of directors for a review.

• Led team of 4 network consultants/contractors (Architects/Sr. Network Engineer level) to deploy and set the migration strategy for the company-wide Network + Security principals/practices.• Designed & Architected full-blown MPLS/DMVPN backbone core network which consists of 3000+ remote location including unmanned high-voltage substation utility sites with multiple VRF segregation for an utmost network security.• Supported deploying ASA5505, 5540 appliances to CIP related government regulated sites such as nuclear plants.• Rolled out Verizon’s NEMO/DMNR 4G wireless backup solution to the company’s unmanned substation sites which reduced the company's overall circuit MRC by more than 50%.• Acted as a lead consultant in deploying any frame-relay WAN routers and constructed VRF-Lite driven SCADA network with true L3 isolation providing high level of security with a best practice guidelines.• Designed & Architected all Nexus Series (N2K/N5K/N7K) platforms with multiple Data Center Migration projects.• Consulted and pre-engineered as a sole lead architect to deploy QoS for Avaya voice systems across 3 HQ sites along with 43 remote office locations to migrate their legacy phone systems over to the newly IP-based infrastructure.• In charge of Satellite/3G/4G/Microwave radio R&D as a viable cost-effective backup solution to reduce the overall O&M expenditure.• Led the project by managing 4 network/security engineers to deploy enterprise-level QoS configurations for 500+ remote frame-relay substation site routers.• Provided several technical trainings for operation NOC engineers and held many technical presentations for IT directors & VPs.

• Re-designed the company's Core backbone routing/switching network with the optimal performance and secured their internet perimeter routers/FWs with the top of quality security best practices in the industry.

• Re-designed Bronx Zoo's Internet perimeter DMZ network with Cisco ASAs and ASR routers running BGP for an optimal performance and fail-over capability.

• Designed dual-core architecture for a full redundancy in the core/distribution layer of engaged clients and guided many customers to steer away from frame-relay based WAN connections to full-scale L3 IP/VPN MPLS WAN connectivity in order to achieve secure site-to-site L3 VPNs.• Involved with pre/post sales practices (Proof reading SLAs, SoWs) of the company acting as a SME/Architect to design and led the team of 3 NOC Engineers + 4 hands-on engineers to support one of top 5 financial institutions of the industry. Worked with Merrill Lynch’s Network Support Group (GTS) to coordinate branch migrations.• Architected various financial clients’ networks deploying IP/MPLS core-based backbone.• Engineered IOS-based enhanced object tracking feature utilizing IP SLA monitor function in order to fulfill the client’s strict SLA requirement.• Provided high level technical support, including identifying and resolving problems on Cisco supported products for e-Commerce infrastructure. This included external routing and internal/intranet routing for DMZ servers.• Configured and managed external & internal DNS appliances such as BigIP’s F5 devices including GTM/LTMs.• Pre-engineered redundant network infrastructure utilizing existing client’s 10Gbps Ethernet fiber links to load-balance L2/3 traffics by deploying 802.1Q Etherchannel trunk links in the distribution layer along with Citrix’s Netscaler DNS appliance.• Designed & Implemented secure network infrastructures applying various IDS/IPS ACLs including dynamic/reflexive ACLs to hardware based firewalls such as Cisco’s ASA.• Acted as a pre-sales engineer providing technical solutions to clients and acted as a point of contact for vendors as required in bringing issues to resolution.

• Architected & led team of 5 engineers (security, server, and network) to deploy new MPLS/L3VPN backbone network for 2000+ IP video conferencing customers. Deployed and managed Bay Networks, Extreme Networks, Juniper, Foundry, Cisco switches including 2621, 2926, 3550, 3725, 4000, 6500 & 7500 series catalysts and remote servers. • Assisted in developing emergency situation strategies and fault tolerance for all supported system servers including Dell’s 1550, 1650, 1750, 1850, 2450, 2550, 2650, 2850 Power Edge Servers and HP’s DL 320 & 360 Proliant servers. • Installed and maintained network security, IDS, IPS and performance monitoring and notification systems.• Configured and supported inter-office network and Linux fileservers including Fedora Core 2, 3 & 4, RH 9, Center OS, FreeBSD, Slackware and Debian OS.• Responsible for installation and configuration of all new network and server hardware systems.• Assisted network expansion work such as extending Fiber Optic OC3, OC12, DS3, Ethernet, T1, POTS, 56k line and maintenance to support various Co-location clients.
