Performed rapid needs assessments and damage assessment of critical infrastructure to determine what resources were needed to respond to emergencies and disasters. Developed and provided briefings and situational awareness products to internal and external shareholders regarding active emergency incidents of significant impact to my agency. As an Area Lead I perform the normal duties of a Safety Patrol Operator for my company. I patrol an assigned section of the Interstate looking for traffic incidents and working with agency partners to quickly, safely and efficiently move these incidents off of the highway and restore traffic to normal traffic flow.In addition as an Area Lead I assist the drivers in my area with reporting to my manager any OT that the drivers got, ensure that they have the proper supplies they need and coordinate them having preventive maintenance done on their truck. I also assist with training new drivers and ensuring drivers assigned to my area arrive on route at their assigned start times.

In short I am a single resource that manages simple traffic incidents with the goal of quickly and safely clearing them from the highway. When the incident is more dynamic or complex and requires additional agencies to respond, I work with them in a unified and integrated operation to quickly and safely open up the highway.I patrol my route performing traffic incident management and roadside assistance duties as a contractor for a state Department of Transportation . I worked part time as a flagger / laborer for Northern Colorado Traffic Control (NCTC) on two of their Colorado DOT projects overnight on Interstate 25.As a laborer I would ride around with the Traffic Control Supervisor and assist him / her with setting up signs, barricades and channelizing devices in accordance with the Traffic Control Plan and MUTCD standards. I would also relief the flaggers so they could take their brakes.As a flagger I would both act as a spotter to warn the road crew of potentially dangerous vehicles approaching and attempt to slow traffic in the work zone down using my stop / slow paddle.

In April 2016 I was offered a full time temp-to-hire position on the Oliver Vanhorn account, working as a warehouse worker at Vestas Blades Brighton. I was hired on full time permanently by Oliver H Vanhorn Co, LLC in August of 2016.As a flagger I coordinated the safe movement of the traveling public through temporary work zones on public roadways throughout Northern Colorado. This included work zones for utility companies in the mountain areas of Larimer County and rural areas of Weld County as well as for road maintenance projects in Fort Collins and Windsor. While ensuring the safety of the road and utility crews along with the traveling public I also had to be fully aware of what was going around me to avoid being hit by traffic and construction equipment. Additionally I had to remain calm while directing traffic that did not follow the posted work zone signs or barricades and assisting confused and lost motorists.As a general laborer I performed various tasks around residential and commercial construction sites in Windsor, Loveland, and Fort Collins Colorado to include the Foothills Mall Project. Some of the tasks I performed included cleaning up of trash and in some cases like on a residential project in Wellington, Colorado I performed construction tasks such as fireproofing pipe and wire openings in floors and installed insulation around water pipes to keep them from freezing in the winter.

As Security Control Center Officer I was in charge of monitoring my client's camera and access control system for their location in Fort Collins, Colorado and Longmont, Colorado. While in Iraq I was made the senior firefighter of a two man 6,000 gallon water tender, after the driver was demoted.
