Mennonite Voluntary Service (MVS) provides year long service opportunities for post college young adults in a variety of settings. In my role, I am responsible for finding service placements for volunteers, interviewing and approving volunteers, facilitating the building of community in our group house, maintaining all financial records for the unit including supervision of unit treasurer, budgeting, and invoicing agencies for service of volunteers. In addition, I serve as a liaison between the local unit and the national MVS organization and relate to other volunteer program directors in DC.

I am responsible for the financial and administrative functions of the organization. This includes coordinating publications, organizing fundraising appeals, submitting grant applications, website content updates, budget development, constituent relations, logistics planning for annual advocacy conference, CRM database management.

Revenue management, supervision of maintenance, housekeeping, and guest service staff, A/P and A/R, budget creation, resolve guest issues

Began as guest service agent and was promoted several times until I became Assistant General Manager.
