I managed all aspects of a US Army Special Operations Ammunition Supply Point. I was responsible for the accountability, research and development, storage management and allocation of non-standard ammunition, standard ammunition, Special Purpose Munitions and Explosives (SPME), and maintained explosive safety standards per Department of Defense (DOD) and Department of the Army (DA) regulations. As the Chief Ammunition Operations Officer, I was resposible for all ammunition explosive safety aspects. I ensured regulatory currency of the ASP site license, Lightning Protection System, Intrusion Detection System, electromagnetic safety, and fire suppression system. This position included recorded keeping for all inspections, performed maintenance, and approved waivers. In conjunction with Bluegrass Army Depot, I maintained a ammunition suspension and restriction program. This program required coordination for Quality Assurance Specialist Ammunition Surveillance support and routine Notice of Ammunition Reclassification checks. I delegated the re-mark, re-tag and segregation of all ammunition downgraded by Notice of Ammunition Reclassification (NAR) within 24 hours after receipt.

Served as the Operation Manager for a US Army Special Operations Command Ammunition Supply Point. I developed plans and directed operations for the Ammunition Supply Point in support of training and combat operations. I ensured personnel adhered to ammunition safety standards as per Department of the Defense and Department of the Army regulations. I also ensured compliance with unit Standard Operating Procedures.Planned and executed ammunition resupplies for US Army Special Operations forward Ammunition Supply Points in two theaters of operations utilizing internal transportation assets as well as leveraging commercial, Air Force, and Navy assets. I coordinated and provided oversight for commercial ammunition shipments. I ensured regulatory guidance per Code of Federal Regulations 49 and Deportment of Defense 4500.9-R. I provided guidance on hazardous material certification and transport vehicle loading.Facilitated command inventories and inspections and compiled related reports. The Ammunition Supply Point received commendable results on all inspections. I ensured ammunition quality assurance as well as provided technical guidance on ammunition functions and characteristics. Managed unit level demolition training and instructed individuals on explosive material properties and safe handling. Prepared monthly ammunition management reports and maintained the short and long range planning calendar. I assisted in the accountability of more then 1,000 different types of standard, non-standard, and experimental ammunition valued in excess of $4.6 million.

As a Senior Ammunition inspector I was responsible for accountability and storage requirements within the US Army Special Operation Command Ammunition Supply Point. I conducted inventories for accuracy and inspected ammunition for serviceability to include periodic inspections. Established ammunition Condition Codes as per regulatory guidelines. Inspected Munitions Handling Equipment for serviceability and generated transportation paperwork for ammunition handling. Conducted military and commercial shipments as per Department of Defense and Depart of the Army regulations. Provided technical guidance on ammunition related functions to ammunition handlers.
