In addition to a constant focus on time management, learning and classroom harmony, daily responsibilities included: Classroom preparations - turn on lights and adjust thermostat, open windows, vacuum rug, updatecalendar, organize materials for the daily lesson plans and coordinate daily classroom transition schedules.Greeting students - Once prepared, head downstairs to greet students, check attendance and set the tone for the day's lesson, lineup and walk to the classroom. Classroom management - Organize seating based on individual characters. Mixboys and girls as necessary to ensure maximum group focus and a good balance of personalities, i.e. talkative, shy, playful, etc. Continually scan the room to limit chattiness and play. Lesson plans - Each day required grade appropriate lesson plans based on GrapeSEED structured matrix of spiral learning through repetition, exposure and practice. Writing - Managed twice weekly workbook writing assignments for all classes, demonstrating proper stroke order, spacing and usage of capital letters and punctuation.Feedback and Evaluations - Wrote monthly student/parent feedback notes in students progress log and completed twice annual assessments to gauge areas of strength and weakness as to encourage educational progression. Conducted "Parent's Open Class" twice per year for parents to attend, observe and participate in a normal classroom day, followed up by a collective parent-teacher meeting.Enrichment Lessons - Created seasonal, cultural and holiday themed, grade appropriate, supplementary lessons, games, crafts and activities that integrate and facilitate language acquisition.
