Environmentally driven, I'm an advocate for sustainability and curating a career I am passionate about. I embrace the lessons learned, striving to grow and take on new challenges continuously. I earned my Bachelor's in Civil Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan in 2017, before moving to Australia to pursue a career in the water industry. I spent the next five years working at Unitywater, where I started in the graduate program gathering a broad range of technical skills rotating through various teams. Most of my experience at Unitywater was as a Project Engineer in the Treatment Services Planning team, focusing on the planning and design management of wastewater treatment infrastructure. This included both strategic and adaptive planning, as well as taking on the role of Project Engineer for the Coolum Sewage Treatment Plant Upgrade. In early 2024, I moved back to Canada to continue my career in the water industry and joined the Wastewater team at MAGNA Engineering, designing subsurface flow wetlands to improve wastewater treatment in small municipalities across Western Canada. I am currently pursuing a master's in Integrated Water Management through Griffith University in addition to my engineering work to broaden my understanding of the social, economic, and ecological dimensions of water management and sustainable development. I am fluent in both Canadian and Aussie slang and am an agile team player who can work both independently and collaboratively when required. I am focused on building my technical knowledge and skill set, to become an expert in my field. I enjoy the challenges presented by the water industry in finding the balance between affordability, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability, and find the opportunity to represent the communities’ interests rewarding. My core areas of interest include; long-term forecasting and development, strategic planning, wastewater treatment and catchment management.
