Customer Success Executive I

Denver, Co, Us

As a Senior Customer Success Manager, I focused primarily on cultivating relationships and growing FWI's top Enterprise-level accounts in the healthcare and corporate industries, with over $3.5 million of ARR in my book of business that I was directly responsible for retaining and growing in partnership with the FWI Sales team. Grant Manager And Customer Support Specialist

Friends First

FRIENDS FIRST (FF) is a nonprofit organization that serves students and their parents and communities by educating and mentoring teens to make positive life choices and develop healthy relationships. As FRIENDS FIRST Grant Manager, I was responsible for Tony Grampsas Youth Services (TGYS) state funding from the Colorado Department of Human Services and federal pass-through funding from the Colorado Department of Education, and a grant from the Community First Foundation. I communicated regularly with grant Project Officers in order to comply with grant regulations and update them on program successes and challenges. I also checked in at least monthly with each FF program staff member supported by these grants to assess their needs and compile information and data for grant reports and proposals. I reviewed staff allocations of time on each grant and grant expenditures regularly, projected grant expenses for the entire year-long grant cycle into the future (at minimum monthly, but often more frequently), approved or declined requests for purchases under grant funding, and submitted monthly invoices to grantors. I wrote and submitted semi-annual reports and annual proposals to each funding source according to each fiscal year and application deadlines.I also assisted at events such as the STARS National Conference, the 25th Anniversary Gala, and the STARS Community Breakfast by shooting professional photographs to share with agency stakeholders. As the Customer Support Specialist for FF, I cultivated relationships with external stakeholders who were interested in either licensing FF's STARS peer mentoring curriculum as a paying licensee, or being written into a grant. This entailed following up with monthly webinar participants, preparing and disseminating information on STARS for potential partners, meeting in person with potential partners, and serving on a planning committee for the 2019 STARS Community Breakfast.

Since I began posting regularly on Family Star's Facebook page, I grew the number of page followers by 95 people and counting, as well as increased enrollment inquiries to the school. I also utilized Adobe Illustrator and InDesign to create event flyers and various agency publications. I shot and edited in Adobe Lightroom over 350 professional photos to build a current photo library of Family Star's services, community engagement, and fundraising events. Government Grants Coordinator

Chicago, Illinois, Us

The Night Ministry is a Chicago-based organization that offers housing, health care, and human connection to youth and adults who are struggling with homelessness and poverty. It offers safe and supportive shelter to homeless youth ages 14-24 through four youth shelter programs and delivers mobile health care from a 38-foot Health Outreach Bus in five underserved neighborhoods in Chicago. They meet people where they are to serve compassionately and without judgment. As Government Grants Coordinator, I was responsible for submitting, renewing, and reporting on government grants worth over $1.6 million to fund The Night Ministry's services. This was a complex position, with reporting and grant application schedules that can vary widely, and thus required a high level of organization and attention to detail. As a member of the Development Team, I was part of the team responsible for raising The Night Ministry's entire $7.1 million budget. I assisted the team with writing proposals and cover letters to obtain funding from foundations; corporations; and congregations; as well as with special events as needed, such as by procuring silent auction donations. I also photographed employee events and services for homeless youth. I trained the Communications Coordinator in photo composition and Adobe Lightroom photo editing software. I also designed informational materials such as impact sheets, invitations, and thank-you notes in InDesign.I also led the agency's role for two years of the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) at 37 informational events by speaking one-on-one with attendees and/or giving a presentation on TNM's work to federal employees who may donate to the organization.

Americorps Vista Leader

Chicago, Il, Us

As one of two AmeriCorps VISTA Leaders at Housing Action Illinois, I lived at approximately 125% of the federal poverty line while managing the Illinois Affordable Housing Support Project (IAHSP) VISTA program of 20 AmeriCorps VISTA service members in Illinois who were all completing service projects in the field of affordable housing. I acted as a liaison between the IAHSP program at Housing Action Illinois, the member's host site, and the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), which is the federal administering agency of AmeriCorps. I collected monthly data reports from VISTA members and then compiled the data to submit quarterly federal reports to CNCS on service members' progress. I assisted the VISTAs personally by mediating conflicts, providing resources such as webinars and helping host an annual VISTA retreat in downtown Chicago, and being available to answer questions about service and offer advice throughout the year. I recruited, screened with written applications and phone interviews, and selected host sites and VISTA service members to fill 23 and 25 spots, respectively, for the 2015-2016 IAHSP project cycle. I also participated in career fairs to talk to potential future VISTAs about AmeriCorps service. In addition to managing the AmeriCorps program, I was part of a Communications Task Force comprised of myself, the Housing Action Illinois Executive Director, and four Housing Action Board Members to assist Housing Action Illinois in implementing a communications and fundraising plan for the organization to build our individual donor base. The task force was working together with Housing Action staff to update the mission statement, website, engage organizational members for media contacts, more strongly utilize the Twitter account of nearly 1,000 followers for awareness and fundraising, and many more targeted tasks in this long-term project.

Outreach Coordinator, Americorps Vista Volunteer

Chamblee, Ga, Us

As an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer, I voluntarily took a monthly stipend that put me at the federal poverty line while serving low-income residents of my community in a sustainable, capacity-building project. I served as the Outreach Coordinator for the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps provide corrective vision and hearing services to uninsured and underinsured residents of Georgia. One of my primary tasks was managing an eyeglasses program that extended the organization's services beyond metro Atlanta. I received glasses work orders and processed them in the computer so the glasses could be made in the in-house lab. This also entailed collecting money for optional lens upgrades and sending monthly invoices to Lions Clubs for the cost of the glasses. As the main link between the Lighthouse and Lions Clubs in Georgia, I visited regularly scheduled Lions Club meetings to give five to 20-minute speeches, tailored for each visit. I gave these presentations once or twice weekly for about six months.I interviewed patients and wrote success stories used in marketing, organization general information, or grant requests. I also took photographs for the organization, which were featured in informational flyers and the Annual Report.I also managed collection of outcome measurement data by sending out client surveys that I customized, then input the data the clients sent back. I then analyzed the before and after survey results for outcome measurements that I kept updated in a document available to anyone in the office who may have needed them for grant requests, marketing, or a public presentation.I also acted as assistant to the fundraising director by editing his grant request letters and occasionally making in-person grant requests to organizations with him.
