Kelly, a South Florida native, began her career in broadcast news in the Miami/Broward market on the breaking news desk. As an assignment editor in one of the busiest television news markets in the country, her responsibilities included: monitoring for breaking news incidents; dispatching news crews; planning and coordinating coverage logistics; researching stories for newsworthiness; attending court proceedings to vet and update court-related stories; conducting on-camera interviews; and disseminating information to the newsroom, field crews, and the public. Her competitive and tenacious nature has helped her land numerous ‘First On’ stories. She has worked for ABC, CBS, and Fox affiliate stations in several television news markets. In addition to working in broadcast news, Kelly worked as a trainer in the sport and fitness industries. She helped individual athletes and sports teams enhance the biomechanics of their athletic skill through speed, agility, and quickness drills and strength and conditioning programs.
