Prior to the formation of Lexsetters, Kelechi was a key member of the Finance and Energy Practice Group of a top law firm in Nigeria, and subsequently, the Head of Contracts and Legal Advisory team of a major commercial bank in Nigeria. He has advised on high value transactions on a wide range of issues pertaining to project finance and securities, fintech and business formations, immigration and employment law, corporate/commercial law.Kelechi was involved in advising Savannah Petroleum Plc on its US$600 million acquisition of the oil and gas assets and shares of certain subsidiaries of Seven Energy Group which won the IFLR 2020 Restructuring Deal of the Year Award, in recognition of the outstanding work that was done on behalf of Savannah. He also led the team that advised a commercial bank in Nigeria on an on-lending N3 billion MSMEs facility advanced to the Bank by a federal government owned bank. He has also worked on many project finance transactions, including a N5.5B joint development project, partly financed by a Nigerian bank for the development of 60 units of luxury apartments in Banana Island, Lagos State.He is known for his diligence, attention to details and unalloyed interests in responding to client’s needs.
