Supports the philosophy and objectives of Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Radiology Department. Interprets these to patients, parents, and hospital staff.Maintains overall functionality of the Ultrasound section of the Radiology Department. This includes staff schedules, productivity, and quality of patient care. Mentors, monitors, evaluates, and educates staff within section.Interviews, recommends, the hiring, disciplining, and if necessary the dismissal of employees within section. Serves as liaison for departmental customer service to include internal and external contacts. Collaborates with the Medical Section Chief of Ultrasound to recommend and implement changes in operations and procedures within section.Monitors section organization and cleanliness. Responsible for section inventories.Monitors compliance with general safety policies.Submits recommendations to the Administrative Director for section budgetary considerations.Maintains knowledge of current applications in the field of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound, electronic imaging, and regulatory guidelines through seminars, educational programs, and self-study.Serves as department contact/resource for Central Scheduling and shares in the responsibility of Administrative call with other clinical managers and administration.

I am a pediatric sonographer. I love my job, and enjoy learning new ways to use ultrasound to help patients. I continue to grow in skill, and add to my experience and education through a working relationship with our radiologists. I enjoy a challenge.I am registered in abdomen, ob-gyn, and neuro. I am studying msk ultrasound currently.
