About Kellen Klein

I specialize in building relationships for a better world. I'm an expert generalist, matchmaker, professional network-weaver, master of ceremonies, facilitator, activator, mediator, and trusted broker to changemakers of all stripes. You might have seen me coordinating stakeholder speed-dating sessions atop a folding chair, helping activists and oil executives hug it out (literally), tricking conference attendees into giving me a standing ovation, or serving as "human Rolodex" for a global community of aspiring tech-for-gooders.After a decade working on wicked problems like climate change, ESG, environmental justice, and extractive technology, I'm exploring opportunities to "think big, act small" at the the intersection of systems change and community building. I'm interested in work that builds a more pluralistic, just, and regenerative society by centering the voices and solutions of those most proximate to the harms we're trying to address.Current keywords for my learning journey include: community well-being, solidarity, regenerative economics, civic engagement, relationality, systems change, Donella Meadows, trans-localism, and many more. If you work on these topics, we should probably hang out.And if you're still figuring out your own life's work, helping people find meaningful careers is one of my favorite pastimes. Hit me up and I'll do my best to help you take the next step.

FFRT’s goal is to encourage more businesses in and around Sisters, Oregon to make their restrooms family-friendly through the installation of diaper changing stations and other family-oriented amenities. We're currently working to recruit volunteers, establish baseline restroom amenity data, fundraise for the purchase of changing stations, and convince local business owners to "get FFRTin." Eventually we hope to partner with local agencies to showcase our fair town's family friendliness to residents and tourists alike, and create a simple model for parent-led activism and engagement that can be replicated in other communities.
