Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Projected current year GAAP financial results and multi-year plans. Prepared management reports (detailing business drivers and financial performance) for Retirement's IIP business (on a product level) to be presented to senior management.• Analyzed plans and forecasts to identify key issues and trends and understand key business drivers, how they impact the business, and the implications to forecasts and plans, as well as analyzed actual to forecast driver variances.• Partnered and collaborated with internal business and corporate areas including but not limited to Actuarial, Pricing, Sales, Corporate Reporting, GAAP & STAT Reporting and ESS, on building and enhancing forecasting tools. Involved in both the initial creation of an automated tool (i.e. Forecast warehouse in Obero) used specifically for IIP and in a company-wide Deterministic Projection Capabilities project to help develop a single financial projection process that is used by all business units. Developed assumptions and rules of thumbs to enable the forecasts to be completed in 10 business days with the ability to do multiple scenarios. Continually focused on quarterly enhancements to improve functionality.• Participated in enterprise and departmental initiatives including but not limited to User Acceptance Testing for the IIP forecast tool and an enterprise wide forecasting platform.• Prepared/reviewed and analyzed quarterly, semi-annual and annual industry surveys. Worked with Senior Management and Industry Analysts to ensure the surveys produced the necessary information.• Led and supported various internal forecast audits for with conference calls, SOPs and numerous Excel files, as well as supporting assumptions and business sign-off. Successfully transformed and delegated audit take-away actions into BAU.• Passionately developed, managed and trained staff and other team members by leading through example and training sessions.
