About Kimberly Kelley

As a Senior Program Manager, I have over 14 years of experience working for Leidos, and I also worked at Physicians for Social Responsibility for more than six years.I have dedicated my career to leading developing and managing programs that require someone who can provide clear and confident direction, inspirational leadership, and strategic communication. In my current role, I manage complex technical programs that strategically focus on mitigating risks and reducing global threats through the use of technology, engineering, and science. Concurrently while working at Leidos, I obtained both my Master of Public Health (M.P.H) of Epidemiology, and my Master of Arts (M.A) in Political Management at George Washington University.I have often been asked to step into leadership roles that require a subject matter expert who is capable of overseeing numerous personnel and subcontractor staff, is sensitive to the nuances of cultural differences, and provides direction for both technical and analytical services that involve international programs and partnerships. Collaborating with a wide range of domestic and international experts, including representatives from the government, academia, hospital, and private industry, I have worked on various initiatives to provide medical consequence modeling and epidemiological analyses for the estimation of transmission dynamics and casualty rates associated with influenza pandemics and terrorist attacks that involve biological/chemical/nuclear agents. This work was done to support several U.S. government customers including:• The Scientific and Technical Engagement Partnership (STEP) program and the Biological Threat Reduction Program (BTRP) with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)• The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) and the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) within the Department of Health and Human Services• The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO)• The Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP)I have also led the development of internal Leidos programs that identified and addressed gaps in team capabilities, and introduced major improvements to proposals, policies and implementation. For more information, please contact me at Kimberly.S.Kelley@leidos.com
