About Kelley Mathis
I am a sales and operations professional with over 25 years of sales, sales leadership, and operations management experience. As an outside the box thinker and problem solver I enjoy a solution-oriented approach to change and growth. As a recovering entrepreneur with a passion to see others succeed, I left the owner world to work with the best sales force on the planet. Here is what lead me to believe NFIB was the right place for me:I left my small hometown in Washington state for college only knowing one sure thing about my future: Education was important, but so is knowing what truly matters in life.At Pacific University I learned that I am at my best when I helping others be at theirs. As a kid whose family owned the general store and pharmacy in town, whose mom was the bookkeeper for many small businesses including the local hospital, I learned first-hand how politics and business are intertwined whether we like it or not.Fast forward to just after 9/11. I was downsized like so many in that depressed economy. One day in the fall of 2002 a recruiter called me and asked me to interview with NFIB. Once I saw the logo I knew my family business had been a member, and my aunt, a retired lobbyist, told me I'd finally found my calling! Perhaps your calling also includes working for entrepreneurs?Small business owners take risks others will not, and in so doing, they provide 2 out of 3 new jobs and drive 50% of GDP. NFIB works for these risk takers who drive the local economy and create the next great widget to help society. If you possess a passion for Free Enterprise, the ability to talk and connect with people from all walks of life, and a solid work ethic, consider a career with NFIB. Sales experience not required.
