The priority of any law firm is the interest of the client. As a legal assistant, my goal is to help achieve this interest in a myriad of ways. From organizing case information, to additional research, to interfacing with clients directly, I work well both collaboratively and independently to keep the process running smoothly for both the client and the firm. In my previous position, I was required to familiarize myself with aspects of property law, bankruptcy law, and litigation, as well as to become familiar with all county supreme courts; both clerks and judges. This skill set allows me to easily learn and adapt to other fields of law, and to communicate well with clients, courts, and any attorneys.I also experienced a shift in case management systems from Perfect Practice to CaseAware at my previous job. One of my tasks during this shift was to assist in building the new task tracks to be implemented in the CaseAware system. This taught me how interconnected many processes are within a firm, and how to recognize where a task track can be made more efficient. Combined with my previous experience with Perfect Practice, it gave me a good foundation for learning any new systems or task tracks quickly and easily. If you trust that my skill set will be as much of an asset to you as I do, please contact me any time at kscribne@rochester.rr.com.
