How would you define your personal brand? What makes you unique? An easy question to ask but much harder to answer. My passion is helping job seekers develop their own personal brand that differentiates them from their competition and makes a formidable impression on potential employers. Working as a career development specialist and executive career coach for the past decade, I’ve been able to take my experience and curate career development courses. I love creating content that helps job seekers find their focus, identify their strengths, and what sets them apart from their competitors in today’s job market. Dabbling in creating career development webinars and bootcamps when I was an executive coach and career advisor over the past ten years is how I got my start. I created content for a variety of job search areas; interviewing, resume writing, goal setting, contract work, and professional networking. I loved the entire process from the research to create the deck and delivery. It was a natural transition for me to move into a development position full-time. I am extremely lucky to love what I do! My primary audience is adult learners in the technology bootcamp space. I design a curriculum that helps learners bring all of their special skills to the forefront and showcase them to employers. Working with cutting-edge technology such as Rise Articulate, Storyline, and Canvas I’ve been able to design courses that are digestible for my learner population. In addition to creating course content, I continue to develop and facilitate webinars on job search topics. To ensure that I continue to stay current on design and content trends, I’ve completed an instructional design certificate program at the University of Illinois and continued on with my Master of Education. Understanding how to build courses for a variety of learners was something that always fascinated me, and now I get to apply my academic knowledge with practical application at ThriveDX.
