As part of a short term assessment effort, developed and delivered Power Bi training for specific end user profiles. Developed assessment recommendations for Power BI's role in an enterprise BI strategy. Supported a large data migration effort as a solution architect to guide data modelers in developing and defining the data model and ETL requirements for a Unified Enterprise Data Model populated from many data sources. The unified model is an end product for the migration of data for a year+ effort to a single billing system as well as other efforts underway to move data while streamlining processes.

• Contributed to an organization that consistently beat revenue growth and utilization goals with billable utilization rates above 75%, profit margins above 45% and bookings above $10M while managing 5-10 concurrent projects. Effectively produced consulting pipeline forecasts, managed contract and budget adherence, identified opportunities for growth, staffed projects and managed client relationships. • Successfully navigated a 14 member team through a high risk transition of an undocumented, complex, 10 Terabyte ODS/DW with multiple source database types and ETL / Replication mechanisms. Accomplished this by revising the transition plan to focus on collaborative meetings that created and tested much needed documentation and Standard Operating Procedures.• Provided Navy comptroller organizations the ability to transform to ‘just in time’ management of appropriated funds by designing and managing delivery of BI/DW solutions that divulged accurate, full analytic insight into commitments, obligations, and expenditures. Successful delivery of the initial star schema module lead to additional $1M-2M contracts annually for expanded, high volume, high availability content and deployment to worldwide organizations. Awarded a subsequent 5 year, $30M contract for Operational and BI services after contributing content to the proposal as the BI/DW technical resource. • Awarded several multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts and single year contracts ranging $300,000-$1,000,000. Supported consulting and software sales teams on BI/DW proposals by gathering requirements and business drivers, identifying software and high level solution designs, developing estimates, authoring proposal documentation, implementing ‘proof of concepts’ and participating in proposal presentations as an Oracle software and BI/DW expert.

• Delivered over 25 BI/DW applications for multiple industries, business processes, source applications, and target platforms. Ensured client and consulting teams were mentored in BI/DW best practices, risks were identified and solutions tuned by utilizing architecture and implementation experience gained while using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases and tools, MS Power BI, MicroStrategy, Cognos BI and IBM DataStage. • Over 10 years’ experience successful delivering BI/DW solutions using Agile delivery methods including DSDM MoSCoW, Lean Agile, and Agile Scrum. Utilized advanced skills gained delivering BI/DW applications with traditional, incremental SDLC methods to manage and balance risks specific to Agile BI/DW (i.e. potential causes for rework) against business value and ROI. • Increased software delivery cycle productivity and product quality for consulting organizations by using problem solving and architectural skills to implement internally developed products that included: o Metadata-driven Project Management tool for BI/DW Agile projects (i.e. Lean, Scrum) that tracked requirements backlog and 'grooming', increment deliverables, stakeholder roles and responsibilities and development progress using Microsoft SQL Server database and development tools.o Metadata-driven ODS product that created database structures for a user-defined Enterprise ODS and generated complex ETL code to populate the ODS using Oracle database and development tools. • Received commendations from an external audit firm for compliance with DOD financial directives, reduced labor costs and increased reporting accuracy for Naval commands by delivering the Obligation Validation Review (OVR) module and accompanying Data Warehouse. Awarded 3 additional efforts in following years after utilizing knowledge of DOD financing to lay the foundation for previously expressed needs without impacting OVR delivery cost or timelines.
