Currently developing Agile awareness and instructional design skills.My switch to Ed Tech was preceded by teaching, developing, and coordinating Spanish language courses at the University of Missouri-Kansas City for 12+ years. In that role, I obtained my Online Teaching Certificate from Quality Matters and served as a faculty peer reviewer in the Quality Course Review certification process for online classes at the university. My areas of academic interest include Second Language Acquisition, history and culture, curriculum design, textbook and technology selection, and online course development. Serving the Foreign Languages & Literatures department, I was involved in initiatives such as Latinos of Tomorrow (a community organization serving students for college & career preparation), Foreign Language Fairs, and an array of cultural activities on campus and in the city.
