Performed all aspects of practice management including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, management of employees, hiring, and oversaw continuity of patient care throughout the practice. Negotiated insurance contracts, filed hospital privileges, updated medical credentials, and other professional record requirements. Maintained business licenses. ensured compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare and Medicaid requirements, and employment laws. Was responsible for the credentialing and onboarding of new surgical fellows for our partnership with Madigan Army Medical Center. Was a member of AAPC, MGMA, was a Certified Professional Coder and Certified Physician Practice Manager. During my tenure, I negotiated a new office lease, designed the office layout, purchased new office and medical equipment, and oversaw our office relocation. I "retired" in July 2005 to stay home with my new baby and work on a home-based business.
