As a full-time temporary consultant based in Bangladesh, my responsibilities included:• Developing, producing, and editing written and visual content for OPHN’s $90 million health portfolio;• Translating complex project information into impactful videos and photo stories–a role that included research, story development, travel to the field, photography, videography, script writing, video production, brand oversight, and contractor management;• Producing a wide range of content for USAID Bangladesh’s social media platforms and supporting OPHN’s day-to-day communication needs, including event planning and photography, briefing notes, press releases, talking points, etc.

Ethiopia

Produced multiple high-value publications from concept to final product; responsibilities included traveling, identifying stories, photographing and interviewing beneficiaries, writing, designing, and supervising the printing of each publication; World Vision leveraged these publications to enhance its technical brand, promote donor engagement, secure funding, cement partnerships, and advocate with Congress.

Ethiopia

Created–from concept to final product–an end-of-project coffee table book/publication highlighting the impact of CARE’s USAID-sponsored GRAD project.

Geneva Area, Switzerland

Photographed and produced education-focused stories from more than 30 remote communities across Africa and Asia; in addition to collecting visuals, responsibilities included managing logistics, identifying stories, conducting interviews, and writing and designing each publication; UNICEF leveraged these assets to raise millions of dollars for their education programs through the Schools for Africa and Schools for Asia initiatives.

Ethiopia

Assembled and managed a team tasked with producing a publication for USAID’s PRIME project in Ethiopia’s pastoralist lowlands; specific responsibilities included research, travel, identifying stories in the field, photography, art direction, supervising the writer and designer, editing the text, communicating with USAID, and managing the printing to ensure the books were delivered on time and within budget.

Ethiopia And Egypt

Traveled to the field to develop a library of photos and video clips for a USAID project that was working to strengthen the dairy, meat, and skin/hides value chains in Ethiopia and the olive/olive oil value chains in Egypt.http://www.kelleyslynch.com/industrial

Ethiopia

Produced four high-value publications about USAID-funded pastoralist activities; responsibilities included conducting original research, planning travel and logistics for weeks-long trips in remote areas, living among different pastoralist communities, taking photos, doing interviews, writing and designing each publication, and overseeing printing. These coffee table-style publications served as advocacy tools and helped to raise the profile of USAID’s pastoralist programs in Ethiopia.

Brought Save The Children’s USAID-sponsored Jibon o Jibika (Life and Livelihoods) project to life in an end-of-project coffee table-style publication.

Photographed and designed a coffee table book in collaboration with writer Lucy Eyre to celebrate Britain’s ties to Ethiopia; commissioned for the Ethiopian Millennium in 2007.

Dhaka, Bangladesh
