I serve as the Traffic Engineer in the newly created Safety Engineering group within ACHD. My key responsibilities include the conception, planning and execution of system wide safety improvement projects targeting traffic, bike, and pedestrian safety. These projects include quick-build traffic calming, RRFB and PHB design, school safety lighting improvements, and the countywide LPI implementation initiative, among other various tasks.

My role involved various traffic engineering tasks. This included responding to public concerns and recommending corrective actions to general traffic related items. I was responsible for reviewing and approving plans for ACHD Capital Projects, developments, and other traffic and lighting projects. I developed traffic design plans for improvements throughout Ada County that include signing, striping, enhanced pedestrian crossings, and intersection safety lighting. I also served as the ACHD liaison for the local school districts to assist and implement various school safety improvements.

My role involved various traffic and transportation design engineering tasks. This included performing impact analyses using HCS7 and Synchro11 and writing the Traffic Impact Studies for various residential and commercial developments throughout Southwest Idaho. This also included preliminary traffic analyses for potential commercial development locations throughout the county. I assisted in the design of transportation projects for various clients and municipalities. The design tasks included traffic signals, roadway alignments, typical sections, roadway drainage, and production estimates.
