Back to the Basics is a Community Organization and Outreach Program that focuses on rebuilding and restoring community health, safety, and empowerment. Working Together, in Our Communities by providing life skills, workshops, and training to schools, employers, and community service centers that are comprehensible and accessible to all members of the family and community.

The Department of Violence Prevention applies a public health approach to violence prevention focused on community-led intervention strategies to realize sustained safety and stability of the families and communities most impacted by violence.

Establish an educational and professional training for Violence Intervention Community Workers in five areas of competency related to gang and gender base violence intervention work, including direct practice, personal development, concrete tasks, broader policy, and applied theory.

Chapter TWO, Inc Southeast III/77th area Community Violence Intervention for youth activities and violence reduction strategies.

Participate in and present at local, state, and national meetings and conferences; and participate in Summer Night Lights program by supervising and supporting specific site staff (site coordinator, youth squad, and contract educators)• Support GRYD activities including but not limited to Gun Buyback and training (e.g. GRYD intervention and prevention model of practice, Los Angeles Violence Intervention Training Academy, case management, intentional youth development, Law Enforcement Gang Intervention Awareness).• Assist with the implementation of special programs (i.e. diversion, re-entry, trauma, youth development and preventions and intervention programming

Manage Cultural and Gender Specific Services programs sponsored by Dept of Justice: Federal Grant from the Office of Violence Against Women

Facilitate generalized violence intervention groups and certified domestic abuse intervention groups

Building a World Without Prisons We bridge the gap between service provision and political organizing through our Building a World Without Prisons campaign. This campaign highlights ideas and strategies of women in prison to challenge the current reliance on policing and prisons. Advocating and bringing awareness to incarcerated women's health issues and rights.

Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the clients and thefacility.2. Address negative behaviors with a positive attitude.3. Conduct and/or monitor educational groups as assigned (day &evening shifts).4. Perform periodic inspections of the facility and develop correctiveaction plans to address problems.

Specialize in recognizing the signs of child abuse and domestic abuse and determining the needs of the victim, including their immediate safety, assist in recovery from trauma, and implement healthy lifestyle solutions.
