I joined the team at Mill Direct Lumber to fill a Transportation and Logistics role. Using the knowledge that I had gained in being in the lumber industry for 4+ years, I quickly gained more responsibilities. This included not only the transportation and logistics needs of the traders, but also managing their customer accounts, handling all data entry for both the mill side and the customer side, verifying credit with current and new customer accounts, heading into more of an office management role and taking more active role in account receivables, including collections, account payables, company banking, employee relations and credit management.

Entry position was reception where phones were extremely busy, multiple incoming, very time sensitive holding and overall professionalism was very crucial. Tasks also included all supply ordering, data entry; purchase orders and order acknowledgements, faxing, filing and mail room. Over the years learning multiple tasks, gaining more responsibilities and migrating towards different roles in the office. Position at the time of departure was in the Transportation Department/Logistics.
