Before that I collaborated with Design and Manufacturing Engineers across the enterprise to define a standard "note" strategy, then worked with our PLM vendor to address gaps in their software offering. For nearly 8 years I was a Technical Lead for several applications of the Product Standards Office in Boeing Research & Technology. In a nutshell, I was a translator between Engineering and Information Technology. Responsibilities included troubleshooting, documenting problem reports and enhancement requests, documenting system requirements and test plans, and overseeing testing and deployments. The primary application I supported was the configuration management and publication system of Boeing's internal product standards. I wore many hats as the acting project manager for a composite material tracking system replacement. My duties extended beyond scheduling to include participating in Java code reviews and leading the customer engagement for requirements gathering, system review, and project status. I served as the team focal for macroscope documentation, access control, user interface design, and user testing. I also contributed to the analysis of algorithms for material tracking.
