I discovered my passion for fundraising as a high school sophomore. A teenage passion for the Jonas Brothers combined with a true desire to make a difference, motivated me to create and sell Jonas Brothers’ inspired dog tag necklaces which ultimately raised over $16,000 for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation. That experience allowed me to collaborate with top tier non-profit executives and set me on my way to building a career in development – and yes, I even got to meet the Jonases! Now, I am a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) with over 7+ years of experience in large and small Not for Profits and in Higher Education. I am most proud of my accomplishments in leading programs that have had an immediate and significant impact on the communities they serve. These programs include the Senior Legacy Committee at Hunter College that has engaged students to raise over $10K in one semester, doubling what has been accomplished in the past. Likewise, I am proud of my impact at Music and Memory where my team and I raised over $3M. My commitment to giving back, raising awareness and collaborating with colleagues and students has not wavered since I was in high school. I bring a unique energy and creativity to my work that inspires those around me to engage in the same mission and ultimately both achieve and exceed desired results.In recent years, I "adopted" the alumni relations program at Hunter College—fueling my passion for building relationships and connecting people to causes they care about. The development of the program catapulted me into the world of alumni engagement.At Lynn University, I engage alumni with one-on-one meetings and develop relationships on behalf of the university. I do all this by hosting signature alumni and career-focused events, managing alumni social media platforms and marketing initiatives, expanding alumni benefits, creating monthly alumni newsletters, partnering with campus departments and teams to engage specific affinity groups, and more.
