Part of the charge master build team for all McLaren facilities. I build all new, deactivate old, and modify any changed charges across the board. Including, but not limited to: pricing, compliance, and according to Medicare/BCBS standards. Part of the Cerner Go Live team to help implement the Cerner system across the facilities. I also perform auditing tasks, reporting tasks, research tasks all tied into Revenue Integrity as a whole.

I am part of a small IT group within the patient financial services department. I help to support mainly our billing system and also work closely with several other systems that interface into or out of the billing system. I maintain the security for the billing system both in house and all outside vendor employees. I also work closely with the billing and coding team most often to make sure all accounts and account information interface correctly for billing purposes. I do daily reporting for the group, manage the group email box for incoming issues or problems, build/manage the CDM to assure all service codes are accessible for use, and aid in any and all customer calls or emails regarding the billing system. I also help to set up the conference rooms so that users can remote into their desktops during meetings and I run periodic training sessions for new employees or as a refresher to any users that request for the billing system.

I worked closely with the coding and clinical audit department to maintain account errors and resolution. I also prepared the daily deposit, ordered all office supplies for the department, and assisted in small project work for audit preparation.

I checked patients in and out for office visits, lab draws, chemotherapy sessions, anscillary testing, and same day surgery. I also scheduled patients for their next appointments and monitored the schedule to track no show and rescheduled appointments.

I collected any and all copays or self pay payments from patients as well as prepared all financial agreements. I also assisted in check/check out for appointments, verified insurance, scheduled future appointments, and prepared the daily deposit.
