In the role of Planning and Projects Coordinator, I was designated as the Ministry Emergency Management Program Coordinator (MEMC). I coordinate the development and implementation of the Ministry's Emergency Management Plan (EMP) and with the EMPs of other Ministries, municipalities and Federal/Provincial/Territorial governments.Development of the Ministry Emergency Management Plan and annual report for the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency ManagementLed the development of a Request for Proposals for advanced level Incident Management System training. This included review of proposals and on-going management of the Vendor.Coordination of the Emergency Management Program Leads across the Ministry. This includes providing direction and advice on Branch level emergency management plans, exercises and responding to Branch level incidents.Represent OMAFRA in Federal-Provincial-Territorial working groups and discussions focusing on emergency management.Led Ministry emergency exercise development team.Member of the on-call Situation Response Team that is the first point of contact for emergencies that may impact the Ministry or our stakeholders.

Lead, Branch Performance Measures Plan and Service Standards: I am led the development of a Branch performance measures plan that aligns with the objectives and strategies in the strategic plan. Lead, EMB Strategic Plan Development and Implementation: Led a multi-disciplinary team, including developing the project charter and work plan, assigning tasks, monitoring team progress and resolving project issues. Lead, eLearning: Developed an eLearning Strategy which improved organizational effectiveness through creating efficiencies in the training development and delivery process. The strategy included a standard process for eLearning project development which resulted in the creation of an eLearning media selection tool that is being used across OMAFRA and the Ontario Public Service. Project Manager, Nutrient Management Training Courses: I successfully managed and coordinated the development and delivery of many training and education programs. I developed the NASM Consultant core competencies, course design and training materials. I initiated a new course design which included videos and i>clicker activities, resulting in improved effectiveness. I also led the development and delivery of the Nutrient Management Act, Regulation and Protocols eLearning Course, OMAF & MRA’s first self-directed eLearning course. It was an Award recipient of the 2008 Canadian Society of Training and Development Gold Medal for external eLearning course, 2009 Association for Communication Excellence in Agriculture Silver award for eLearning educational project and 2008 BRAVO Awards finalist.Stakeholder Consultations: Iled stakeholder consultations and needs assessments to determine requirements for EMB training and education programs.

Program Counsellor for the Bachelor of Science (Agr.) Program: Provided academic coaching and mentoring to approximately 1,500 B.Sc.(Agr.) degree students. I monitored student academic progress and develop personalized strategies to improve academic standing and graduation rates.Coordinator, Experience Agriculture Career Development Program: Facilitated a career development program for over 300 Ontario Agricultural College students annually that included annual workshops on understanding organizational culture, conflict resolution and mobilizing innovation in the workplace. Also, I established the first annual student leadership conference for Ontario Agricultural College which continues today.Course Instructor, Ontario Agricultural College (2001- 2006), University of Guelph, Guelph, OntarioEffectively taught numerous university level courses including two field trip courses to Costa Rica and Mexico.

Managed a 150-unit housing complex which included management of staff and day-to-day operations. In this position I supervised three student staff members and advised the student council.
