In addition, I serve as a liaison to the Worldwide Finance organization on the creation and management of costing models, budgets, and forecasts for logistics projects, procurement, and operations. Notable achievements:►Improving forecasts through leadership on more than 150 new product cost scenarios in coordination with Apple's Logistics and Finance teams to build and validate projections used to design the global distribution strategy and manage the P&L.►Generated a substantial carbon footprint reduction through a decrease in both consumables and weight, as well as through consolidated distribution at regional hubs.

In this capacity, I managed all aspects of strategic global logistics planning and execution for the full lifecycle of Apple’s new product launches. This entailed directing cross-functional teams of Product, Logistics, Process Improvement, Retail and Reseller leaders, and other key stakeholders to build and execute launch strategies, align supply and demand planning, synchronize resource planning, and ensure successful delivery to market. Notable achievements:►Managing 15 simultaneous products launches across five strategies, building global and regional supply chain plans for new iPhones, iPads, and other products including for the global launch of AirPods, Apple’s most successful launch to date.►Partnering internally and with governments to ensure regulatory compliance, and to realign supply chain and processes.►Successfully deploying the integrated Apple Watch/iPad mini display to 11K 3rd-party retail channel outlets in four months through Apple’s distribution channel. We met all milestones through the attainment of successful trade regulation compliance within each country.

I managed the procurement and execution of the full scope of all international inbound logistics services, with air and ocean freight transportation from 20 countries of origin across more than 1,070 lanes to 81 destinations. My team was comprised of three Global Supplier Managers overseeing a pool of ten freight forwarder suppliers, managing supplier performance, and delivering against KPIs. Notable achievements:►Generated substantial savings in annual air freight by using SciQuest e-procurement analytics, disruptive vendor dynamics, and contract negotiation to reduce our spend, improve service, and eliminate fuel surcharges.►Strengthening Apple’s ocean freight framework through leadership on global reviews, rate negotiations, and on the creation of statements of work. ►Securing the essential capacity to enable the successful, on-time launches of multiple iPhone and iPad products.►Building a high performing team through coaching, mentoring, and individual career planning.

Amazon.com, Inc. is an American e-commerce and cloud computing company; the company is the largest Internet retailer in the world as measured by revenue and market capitalization.I was responsible for directing the inbound international air and ocean freight between 13 countries for 26 lines of business, including furniture and electronics; I led a team of seven negotiating contracts and managing operational performance on a $60 million transportation spend. Notable achievements:►Generating a $6.6M (11%) transportation cost reduction on a simultaneous 100% year-over-year increase in volume to 60M units. This was achieved by realigning the organization's transportation modes and couplings to improve efficiency, negotiate savings, and implement standard agreements.►Reducing the global lead time on Kindle shipments to 4 days (-42%) by moving Asia-origin deliveries to the US West Coast from other points of destination.

Microsoft is a global technology company which develops, manufactures, licenses, supports and sells computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and services.I joined Microsoft in a supply chain operations management role with the company's Interactive Entertainment Business (IEB). My role was elevated and expanded twice, to lead a team of eight employees overseeing a $50M outsourced global logistics and transportation spend on 60 million units shipped on an annual basis. Notable achievements:►Negotiating consistent 4% to 15% reductions in freight contracts and in G&A overhead costs.►Directing all logistics for the successful 2009-10 build out and launch of Microsoft's retail stores. This entailed collaborating with the Retail Operations and Product teams to actualize the seamless day-one point of sale experience in key markets across the United States.►Developing and promoting several team members into leadership roles, including my successor as Senior Manager.

Weyerhaueuser is a $20 billion global diversified and vertically integrated wood products company.I managed the supply chain strategy, operations, and procurement as the logistics leader for an $800 million annual spend in truckload, less than truckload (LTL), and small package services. I oversaw a team of 15 employees managing more than 5,000 shipments daily from factories and distribution centers to our customer sites. Notable achievements:►Leading the negotiation and standardization of more than 500 master vendor agreements up to $75 million in value apiece.►Transforming the logistics operations through the implementation of the TransWorks TMS. I led the rollout across 13 North America supply chains, rapidly delivering $10 million in freight cost reduction through process automation and improved analytics.

These included Logistics Manager; Regional Transportation Manager; Certified Six Sigma Black Belt Project Leader – Logistics; and Senior Manager, Strategic Development – Import Logistics. Notable achievements throughout my career with the company include:►Building the strategy for Home Depot’s network of ten Import Distribution Centers (IDC) delivering $4 billion in product to over 1,700 stores. ►Personally co-managing the opening and optimization of a 500,000 sq. ft. Import Distribution Center in Dallas, TX.►Championing a portfolio of strategic Six Sigma initiatives. I was in charge of a pilot defect reduction program achieving a 34% reduction in errors and saving $500K. In addition, I was successful in increasing advance shipment notice timing and accuracy by 3%, to 100% and 90% respectively.►Saving $2 million annually through the creation of a valid auditing model facilitating the introduction of a certified receiving program.
