The Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI) is one of sixty-two federally-designated Regional Extension Centers (REC) and is the designated REC for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We are an organization that offers a variety of programs and services designed to help clinical providers transition into a practice that meaningfully uses electronic health records. We are also the designated Health Information Exchange for the Commonwealth (Statewide HIE) and work closely with the state’s Office of Medicaid.We were the first Regional Extension Center to meet our goal of enrolling over 2,500 primary care providers, a goal established by the Office of the National Coordinator. We are striving for the rapid deployment and optimization of Electronic Health Records to ensure the providers in Massachusetts meet Meaningful Use. We provide education, outreach, assistance with EHR and Consultant selection for our providers.
