I started my career as an engineer and worked my way up to executive. Along the way I have seen tremendous change in my industry, but nothing has been more powerful than the move to Agile development. My only fear is that we embrace it as just a process change and neglect to develop our people and teams to actually "Be Agile". My focus is developing leaders at all titles to fuel and sustain the empowerment of the Agile Mindset. Transitions are difficult, but recognizing the unique makeup of each team and the true potential of each person then enabling them with achievable targets, creates momentum and measure for their success.Data is the foundation of our approach because it is unemotional and empowering. It brings insight to opportunities and creates cohesion toward improvement. It is essential to remove the fear of change and create positive forward movement. And with that comes responsibility, responsibility to speak up, to address concerns, to offer suggestions, to set reasonable expectations and to protect business value.I believe we have outgrown the traditional classroom methods of developing employees.
