It is difficult for me to resist jumping in to help solve other people’s problems. If you mention a problem or obstacle in passing I will follow up in short order with a list of ideas and an offer to help implement. Luckily this personality quirk, along with the desire to drive positive impact and an interest in what makes people tick led me to research. I’m able to help solve other people’s problems professionally.I have held positions on both the agency and client side, giving me a deep well of experience to draw from. I’m happiest working on innovation initiatives in which we use insights to uncover a real need for which we can create or improve offerings. I love a good brainstorming session, but I’m just as invested in what comes before - building empathy for the user - and after - creating and implementing a roadmap for execution. Because this type of work doesn’t feel like work at all, I’ve taken on “pro bono” projects serving companies/people I believe in. I believe the strongest solutions come from a broad knowledge base. I am a voracious reader, fervent podcast listener and lifelong learner and curate and catalog interesting ideas as I go. I'm then able to quickly access this collection for use in building compelling stories and strategic frameworks. While achievement is extremely important to me so is maintaining the “white space” that allows for creativity. I get a thrill out of optimizing the ways in which I get the ‘necessary’ done so that there is time for the unnecessary. No matter what I’m doing, from tackling a new project to restoring our 100 year old house, my goal is always to leave things (and people) better than I found them. If you want to talk through a new project, old homes, podcasts or an opinion on the best way to organize your inbox, send me a note. I’d truly love to help.

Category ExpertIri 2000 - 2002Chicago, Il, UsMy first position out of college was at IRI. As the Category Analyst for Dairy I was responsible for maintaining the syndicated report database for all Dairy sub-categories and then using it to create and deliver reports to my key clients. This position was a great opportunity for me to quickly gain both technical and client service skills. I was the main contact person for Dairy clients and went above and beyond to deliver them the key insights they needed to stay on top of what was going on in their category.
