I love my work, and I love to do my work well! I don't love the idea that going to work is something we should all hate. My family raised me on the idea "you never know where you are going to find fun". Here are some of the ways I throw myself into my work to make it a positive, fun, and productive experience:1) I enjoy building relationships with staff and customers alike - building these relationships leads to more fun in the workplace and understanding the needs of the staff and consumers. What brings the consumer in, how are they doing, are they having a good day, making jokes with them while you assist them in order to brighten their day and your own. 2) I always manage my time as effectively as possible. For me, not managing my time at work can cause stress and anxiety when I realize I didn't leave enough time for something. Sticky notes are my best friend to keep me on task and productive while not stressing myself out and getting into a negative mindset. 3) In my experience as a manager - I loved setting goals and beating them as a team. My team would set records for sales and revenue in a day, and we couldn't do it without supporting one another or communicating with one another. This brings me back to building relationships - we work with people. People who get overwhelmed, need a break, need help, and need someone to share ideas with. A safe, welcoming work environment boosts morale and boosts productivity. That's what I mean when I say I love my work - I love my job and being successful. I also love the people, and working as a team so everyone is successful.
