I got promoted to Marketing Associate with BenBella Books in January 2024. In this position, I manage book marketing campaigns from start to finish and beyond, and I assist the other lead marketers with projects as assigned.

I own a freelancing business called Edit. Revise. Perfect. I do developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading. I've worked on reports, proposals, magazines, poetry, screenplays, and books. My most recent experience includes obtaining a contracted job with Desert Palm Press (fiction) and TigerOak Media (non fiction).

I brainstorm and write for the student blog named PSU Chronicles, as well as take (or create) pictures that correspond to my content. I've written about a myriad things including tabling, giving thanks, and keeping it weird here at PSU.

I copyedited for the PSU Vanguard, a student-run newspaper. I mostly edited the Opinion section in AP style, though I edit other sections, too, if necessary.

March 2016-June 2016: After Write to Publish ended, I took over a special project called Comin' in Over the Rock, managing the process of copyediting, interior design, and proofreading, as well as managing a team and communicating with the authors.March 2015-March 2016: I accepted the position of co-manager for Write to Publish. As such, my responsibilities include contacting potential sponsors, speakers, donators, and vendors, as well as organizing the Day Of schedule and managing a team. Write to Publish 2016 happened on January 30, 2016 and was a success.September 2014-March 2015: I was a team member for Write to Publish, our writing and publishing conference. I did a great deal of marketing, writing and sending out press releases, tabling and putting up posters around town, and emailing possible participants and attendees. I also helped staff the event the Day Of and was the workshop leader.

Ripple Grove Press is an independent children's book publishing company based in Portland, OR. I got to do a myriad of things during my internship including researching, helping with some writing tasks, editing tasks, doing some standard office help, sitting in meetings, reviewing submissions, representing them at publishing conferences (Wordstock and PNBA), and designing media artifacts.

I updated the Facebook page, created promotional flyers, and contacted contributors. I also read through the slush pile, went over journal drafts when necessary, and staffed events.
