This position requireed high attention to detail, organisational skills and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR software. Duties included: keeping records of employee sickness and holidays, processing paperwork for new, current and old employees, assist with any recruitment needs e.g. phone screening candidates, booking candidates in for interviews and providing interview packs for the internal recruiter and respective line managers. I also provided support for other HR projects and company wide projects. Finally I assisted with monthly payroll with the finance team and ensure accurate records are kept of any changes and are well organised.

In this position I actively improved the efficiency of the learning and development of the team through the planning and carrying out training sessions; In addition I took the lead on the development of a store newsletter which aided our stores communication and ensured everyone was aware of any issues within the store. I was also the staff and technical team liaison which allowed for other members of staff to be better informed of new technology innovations entering the store and to give feedback to both parties. Being entrusted with being the first line of support with any technical issues allowed the rest of the team to continue their own tasks. By utilizing Slack and the rest of the IT team I succeeded to vastly improve the productivity of the store. Whilst performing these duties I also carried out my daily shop floor responsibilities such as opening and closing the store and maintaining a great customer focus which vastly improved sales and as a result allowed us to meet targets.
